The drums is both exciting and fun to learn. Our lessons will teach you co-ordination, how to keep time, correct technique, good posture and rhythm. You will initially be taught the basics on an electric drum kit to then progress to an acoustic drum kit where your technique and ability will further develop. As a drum kit consists of many parts you will gain a clear and total understanding of your musical instrument which will include:
- Selecting the correct sticks
- How to hold the sticks correctly
- How to hit the drums correctly
- How to hit the cymbals correctly without damaging them
- Positioning and adjusting the drum kit
- Tuning the drums
- Additional percussion skills / instruments
- Playing to a click track
