Guitar & Bass

Many people enjoy sharing music through playing guitar whether it is on an acoustic or electric guitar.  Our guitar lessons will teach you basic chord structures, playing in different keys, basic scales and correct fingering technique. You will be shown how to hold a plectrum / pick, strumming and different rhythms and other related musical skills such as timing and of course coordination.

Bass guitar lessons also focus on working closely with the drums and the importance  the combined rhythm section plays within a band / group. 

An extensive knowledge of your musical instrument is important and will be covered throughout the lessons. This will include;

• How to string your instrument
• Selecting the correct string gauge
• How to tune your instrument
• Selecting the right guitar for you

For the more advanced player, setting up and maintaining your guitar including;

• Setting the intonation
• Setting the action
• Adjusting the truss rod
• Correct tuning method
